Thornton-Donovan Students Shine at the 2026 NYSSEF with Largest Contingent to Date
Thornton-Donovan School sent its largest group yet to the competitive New York State Science and Engineering Fair (NYSSEF), where students presented alongside the top projects from schools across the state. Competing at an ISEF-affiliated fair is no small feat, and our students stood confidently among some of New York’s most accomplished young scientists and engineers.
Middle school representatives Gino Carter and Jason Stimmel brought their research to the NYSSEF stage, demonstrating early dedication to scientific inquiry. In the high school division, Anastasia Reid, Janiah Charan, and Zoe Frasca represented Thornton-Donovan with professionalism and rigor. Each of these students should be tremendously proud of what they accomplished by earning the opportunity to present at such a selective event.
The growth of TD’s science research program is the direct result of student curiosity, dedication, and hard work. Year after year, their efforts elevate the program, creating a stronger culture of inquiry and mentoring for future researchers. As the program continues to expand, we look forward to welcoming many returning student researchers next fall, along with new students eager to begin their own scientific journeys.
