Dr. Benoit Van Lesberghe
Dr. Benoit Van Lesberghe was born in Belgium and earned a B.A. in Theology from the Continental Theological Seminary in Brussels. He holds an M.A. in Language Studies from the University of Kent (UK) and a Ph.D. in ‘Philologie Romane’ (Romance Languages) from La Sorbonne in Paris, France.
Dr. Van Lesberghe taught in the Belgian school system for seven years and served as an exchange teacher in West Africa for three years. For more than twenty-five years, he has been a dedicated member of the Thornton-Donovan School community.
Trained to teach Mathematics and Science for grades 5 through 9, Dr. Van Lesberghe has taught a wide range of subjects beyond his primary disciplines, including American History, Architecture, Video and Photo Editing, Culinary Arts, and more.
He is passionate about identifying and nurturing the strengths of those around him, encouraging students to grow, flourish, and become confident, productive members of their communities.
