Taisiya zanzano
Born and raised in Odessa, Ukraine, Taisiya Zanzano brings warmth, creativity, and a genuine love of people and community to her role as Director of Admissions at Thornton-Donovan School.
Since joining T-D in 2023, Taisiya has become deeply involved in many areas of school life, serving as Assistant to the Headmaster, working in Enrollment and Community Engagement, and as Assistant Camp Director. Through these experiences, she has come to know the students, families, teachers, and traditions that make Thornton-Donovan so special. She often calls T-D a “Hidden Gem” — a school where children are truly known, individuality is celebrated, and the passion and dedication of its teachers can be felt throughout the community.
Taisiya believes that admissions is about more than welcoming a student — it is about welcoming a family. She values parents who believe in being part of their child’s education and taking an active role in the life of the school. To her, a strong school community is built when students, parents, and educators all feel connected and invested in one another.
Passionate about art and creativity, Taisiya believes every child has something unique to offer. She encourages children to use their imagination, discover their individual talents, and build confidence in who they are. Her goal in admissions is to truly get to know each family and help them discover whether Thornton-Donovan is the place where their child — and their family — can belong and thrive.
