Thornton-Donovan is excited to offer students the opportunity to participate in our reciprocal Japan Travel Study Exchange, a cultural immersion experience that builds global perspective through authentic connection and daily life abroad.

Dates may shift by 1 to 2 days based on flight availability. Final dates will be confirmed.

Location

Sera, Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan
Students will be hosted by local families in Sera and will also spend time with peers at Sera High School.

Who Can Participate

Grades 8 to 12

What Students Will Experience

This is a true exchange experience, not a typical tour. Students will have the opportunity to:

• Live with host families and experience everyday life in Japan

• Attend school activities and classes alongside Japanese peers at a partner school

• Participate in cultural experiences and excursions such as parks, temples, farms, museums, and more

• Build meaningful international friendships and strengthen long-standing school connections.
